Mazara del Vallo 12,6MW Photovoltaic Plant inaugurated: Primiceri SPA and A2A partner for energy transition

Primiceri S.p.A. is proud to announce the completion of the Mazara del Vallo photovoltaic plant, a project developed for the A2A Group that represents a crucial step toward a more sustainable future. On October 31, 2024, the plant was officially inaugurated, including A2A’s distribution substation, a key component that will allow the energy generated by the plant to be fed into the national power distribution system. The plant is expected to become fully operational in the coming weeks.

A Large-Scale Facility with a Positive Environmental Impact

The Mazara del Vallo photovoltaic plant spans 14.80 hectares and has an annual production capacity of 25 GWh. With this project, the photovoltaic plant built by Primiceri S.p.A. will help meet the energy needs of approximately 8,300 households, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions. Each year, the clean energy produced by the plant will prevent approximately 10,000 tons of carbon dioxide emissions—the equivalent of the absorption capacity of 80,000 trees.

Primiceri’s Vision for a Responsible Energy Transition

General Manager Maurizio Primiceri stated, “The Mazara del Vallo project embodies our vision of a responsible energy transition. We are proud to collaborate with A2A on this endeavor, which reflects a shared commitment to preserving the environment and improving the quality of life for local communities.” Maurizio Primiceri’s words emphasize the company’s strong connection to the region and its commitment to growth that respects both the environment and the well-being of people.
